Poster Printing the Environment

Being a student is not just about burying yourself under heaps and heaps of assignments and textbooks. You cannot simply ignore what is happening around you in the guise that you have your studies to worry about. You cannot be passive and callous to the issues that confront society today.

I am an environmentalist and I want to spread the message of conservation and sustainable development among all the students in my university. With the help of my friends we organized this group who advocates for a more sustainable and developed community. I guess we were moved to action after watching Al Gore’s ‘An Inconvenient Truth.’ Gore’s mission became our personal mission.

To spread the word about climate change we had to be creative. We had to attract the attention of the students about the issues involved and we thought that there is no better way than to be graphic about it. Imagine a picture of hungry people in a drought stricken land, or of communities being washed away by floods. Pictures do say a thousand words!

So we enlisted the help of a poster printing company to print our posters. It worked! We had more students volunteering that we could even accommodate. But hey, protecting the environment is everybody’s concern anyway.
